# ACATS-Token/SERV

The <mark style="color:purple;">Automated Customer Account Transfer Service (ACATS)</mark> is a system that automates and standardizes procedures for the transfer of assets in a customer account from one brokerage firm and/or bank to another.

<mark style="color:purple;">ACATS-Token/SERV</mark> allows mutual funds to electronically update account registrations when a customer account is transferred from one brokerage firm or bank to another, from a fund to a brokerage firm, from a brokerage firm to a fund, <mark style="color:red;">or from offchain account to a wallet.</mark>&#x20;
