The Automated Customer Account Transfer Service (ACATS) is a system that automates and standardizes procedures for the transfer of assets in a customer account from one brokerage firm and/or bank to another.

ACATS-Token/SERV allows mutual funds to electronically update account registrations when a customer account is transferred from one brokerage firm or bank to another, from a fund to a brokerage firm, from a brokerage firm to a fund, or from offchain account to a wallet.
